Saint Clare of Assisi, born in 1194 into a noble family, chose a radically different path after hearing Saint Francis preach. Leaving behind privilege and wealth, she embraced a life of poverty, prayer, and complete devotion to Christ.

Inspired by Francis, Clare founded the Poor Clares, creating a community of women dedicated to the Gospel through simplicity, worship, and service. Her steadfast leadership helped her sisters remain faithful through hardship and uncertainty.

Known for humility, courage, and a deep trust in God, Clare became a lasting example of holiness in daily life. She died in 1253, but her witness continues to inspire generations seeking strength in prayer, self-sacrifice, and spiritual joy.

Saint Clare showed that humility, prayer, and steadfast faith can become a radiant source of strength for generations.
