Marcello Lippi, born in Viareggio, Tuscany, in 1948, became one of Italy’s most accomplished football managers. Known for discipline, preparation, and tactical intelligence, he built teams around organization, trust, and a powerful sense of collective purpose.

At Juventus, Lippi guided one of Europe’s great football dynasties, winning multiple Serie A titles and leading the club to victory in the 1996 UEFA Champions League. His success established him among the leading coaches of his generation.

His defining international triumph came in 2006, when Lippi guided the Italian national team to FIFA World Cup victory. Italy’s championship run demonstrated his greatest strength: bringing individual talent together as one disciplined, confident, and resilient team.
