Walk through nearly 400 years of North End history, from Boston’s colonial beginnings to the Irish, Jewish, Portuguese, and Italian communities that shaped the neighborhood. Grand opening July 21, 2026 at 3 Prince Street on the Freedom Trail.

Across nearly 400 years, the North End has been a place of arrival, reinvention, and community. From Boston’s colonial beginnings through the revolutionary era and waves of Irish, Jewish, Portuguese, and Italian immigration, each generation has added to the neighborhood’s living story.

Inside the North End Historical Museum, those stories come to life through interactive and immersive exhibits. Visitors will experience the people, places, traditions, and turning points that continue to shape the North End today.
