Historic Reno neighborhood just north of the Truckee River between Keystone and Arlington Avenues that was largely built and populated by Reno’s Italian-American community. The Powning Addition dates to the 1880s and became Reno’s first neighborhood designated as a Conservation District. The listing marker uses the McKinley Arts & Culture Center on Riverside Drive as an interpretive anchor at the edge of the district.
